Superman Pennington

Had a good time at WGN-TV today, but an even better time speaking via telephone with Art “Superman” Pennington, the only living member of the Strat-O-Matic Negro League All-Star set.  He’s a fascinating man and I look forward to meeting him in person in a week or two…

  1. Superman Pennington? Alas, he played later than 1924 so I won’t be able to use him in my exhibition. But he just might be watching in the stands with his dad…

    Scott, I have a family friend by the name of Lou Clarrizzio that signed with the negro league in 1954. Lou is a Sicilyian and played outfield. I can get you in touch with him if you would like to talk to him. Steve
